Kia Ora. Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am a Gore based registered midwife who has been providing care locally since graduating in 2016. I live with my husband and two young children and am passionate about providing individualised care to women in our rural community. I love working with families as a Lead Maternity Carer. I work alongside women throughout pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period in the Gore and surrounding areas by empowering them to make informed choices and decisions that ensures the best possible experience for both Mum and baby. I support waterbirth, primary birth in Gore, and for complicated pregnancies, also birth at Southland Hospital. I believe in finding the right midwife that supports a partnership with open communication, continuity of care, and ultimately women's choice. I am proudly supported by my midwifery colleagues at Māruawai Midwives, and am excited to hear from new and returning families to embark on this incredible journey!

 

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I became qualified in 2007 in Christchurch and later relocated to Gore with my family. I reside with my husband and our three teenage/adult children. The role of your Lead Maternity Carer is crucial to your childbirth experience. Primary Health services are essential in our rural communities. I can refer you to additional health professionals as needed for the best health and care for you and your baby. I offer midwifery services in Gore and the neighboring districts, with access agreements at Gore and Southland hospitals, as well as home births. I support all birthing choices, including water births and epidurals. My belief is in providing a continuity of care that is tailored to each individual woman.

Congratulations! I am based in Gore, where I live with my husband, and we have raised our four children. Since 2009, I've dedicated myself to delivering outstanding care to women and their families in our community. My aim is to provide you with an optimal pregnancy, birth, and postnatal experience. Midwifery is unique in that it allows for close collaboration with women and their families, sharing knowledge, respect, and information. I customise my care to suit each woman's unique path, with a focus on family, supporting natural physiological processes, and integrating the latest research and best practices. A successful pregnancy and birth involve understanding your options, participating in decision-making, and having a strong support team. I am committed to empowering women and whānau to make informed choices that are right for them, avoiding a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we'll make sure your experience is tailored to you, offering all the options and choices for you and your baby. I assist women and families through both normal, healthy pregnancies and those with complications, working with other health professionals to provide top-notch care for you and your baby at all stages. I advocate for home births, water births, and births at Gore Maternity, and for complicated pregnancies, I support births at Southland Hospital in Invercargill.

I am a new graduate Lead Maternity Carer (LMC) based in Gore, with my partner, coming from a farming background in rural Southland.

I am very passionate about rural midwifery and am excited to support women and whānau through a very important time in their lives, with my goal to ensure families achieve the best experience possible.

Midwifery care is individual, creating a space for the sharing of knowledge and whānau involvement, which I am passionate about.

I offer midwifery care from preconception, though pregnancy, labour and birth and the postnatal period in Gore and the surrounding areas, supporting birth in Gore Maternity Unit and Southland Hospital.
